| brief history hanes cryno |
The company formed in 1997 when a group of graduates returned from across the border with the intent of creating a new theatre company in the Swansea area. Their 4 year history has seen them perform in venues as diverse as The Sherman, Ystradgynlais Welfare Hall and Bristol Old Vic, and the company has also undertaken international work in Sweden and Prague. They have also developed a strong workshop programme across a series of institutions in South Wales. The projects undertaken so far have included new writing, devising, classics and established welsh writing. they retain a strong commitment to, where possible, working with Welsh-based actors, as well as providing opportunities for welsh-exiles to return and enrich the South west wales artistic community. |
