|Everyman Theatre Cardiff, Cardiff's liveliest and most adventurous theatre company, was founded in 1942. It started life as the Unity Theatre Group, focusing on mainly political theatre, but later broke away and embarked on its own policy of presenting experimental live theatre in as professional and interesting a manner as possible.|
|Everyman Theatre Cardiff has a justified reputation for its large scale pro-am open air theatre in the Cardiff area over the last 19 years. The Everyman Open Air Theatre Festival has been been held at the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans since 1996; prior to that we were resident at Dyffryn Gardens (1983-1995). The Company performs a family show and a Shakespeare play each year. The festival productions are professionally directed and designed with a professional production manager and lighting designer.
We also have a rich programme throughout the Winter and Spring seasons.
Throughout the year, we have weekly club nights featuring a wide variety of readings, workshops, screenings and other dramatic experiences -- all for free!

|This close season started with a boisterous production of "Lysistrata". Next month is a new play, "Charley, Herbie, Joe and John" by award winning writer Derek Routledge. In the New Year we will be presenting "Closer", "Popcorn" and "Uncle Vanya".
In Summer 2007, we will be presenting "A Midsummer Night's Dream" directed by Erica Eirian and a new adaptation of "Robin Hood" by Sarah Bawler.
