Graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama in Acting in 1972. Degree in English and History First class and MA in Play Studies and playwriting (from Birmingham University). Early job Rocky Horror Show and with Vienna's English Theatre. Also taught on Performing Arts Course at Middlesex Polytechnic (now Univeristy) and theatre movement at Wimbledon School of Theatre Design. Was artistic director of theatre company whilst living abroad doing main stage and studio productions, mostly musicals including own show written and directed for the French, German and British Institutes. On return did a Director's attachment at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where she also worked for a year following as a director. During Bristol period, had attachments at WNO, Royal Shakespeare Company and BB Wales and worked as Assistant Director on shows at Bristol Old Vic as well as directing shows in the London fringe. In recent years, have worked with Theatr Gwent's Theatr Ffynnon and is currently a part time lecturer at the Univeristy of Wales in Newport in English literature and Scriptwriting as well recently directing locally The Seagull, Mrs. Warren's profession and The Cherry Orchard. |
