Award-winning Youth Scheme Showcases Talent

Acting Out Cardiff at The Sherman Theatre has a brand new company of students and on Friday 28 January they will be giving their first ever public performance entitled OneWorld! in The Sherman’s Studio Venue.

Recently awarded The Youth Work in Wales Excellence Award, the Acting Out Cardiff scheme has gone from strength to strength and this year’s intake of Year 10 students is no exception. The One World! showcase will consist of circus skills, facilitated by the scheme’s collaboration with NoFit State Circus, MCing and plenty of fresh talent. In the light of recent world events, the Acting Out Cardiff students have been exploring ideas of unity and diversity within the context of different cultures. The title One World! reflects the production’s theme that working together is far more productive than working apart and with this in mind, the teamwork of the students has been vital at all stages of the creative process.

Tickets to One World! are FREE and could well be an early opportunity to catch the future stars of the stage and screen. There will be two shows at 6.30pm and 8.00pm and tickets are available from the Box Office on 029 2064 6900.
