“We the women have the salvation of Greece in our hands”

Led by Lysistrata, the women of Greece rise to end the war by taking over the Acropolis - the home of the city treasury and the temple of Athena. But this is only part of Lysistrata’s plan. The women make an oath. Until the war ends – no sex!

Gyda Lysistrata yn eu harwain mae merched Gwlad Groeg yn sefyll fel un i roi terfyn ar y rhyfel, trwy feddiannu Yr Acropolis – cartref y trysorlys a theml Athena. Serch hynny, rhan yn unig o gynllun Lysistrata yw hyn. Maen nhw hefyd yn tyngu llw go arbennig. Dim diwedd ar y rhyfel – dim rhyw!

“The women won’t let us so much as tickle their fancies ‘til we make peace for the whole of Greece.”

Will the men stand firm? Or will they finally agree to lay down their swords and see their way to achieving diplomatic peace?

A wnaiff y dynion sefyll eu tir? Neu droi tu min a rhoi min eu cleddyfau lawr er mwyn sicrhau heddwch.
