BBC Four - Bollywood Shorts

The BBC are looking for five contemporary ten minute dramas that tell British Bollywood style stories in an exciting and innovative way. Submissions are invited from writers, writer/directors or writer & director teams resident in the UK. Ten scripts will be commissioned for development and 500 will be available for each. Five scripts will then be taken through to production for broadcast on BBC Four.

Wingate Scholarships

Classification - Funding

Wingate scholarships are awarded annually to individuals who need financial support to undertake creative work. Funding is offered for Advanced Music Training (not taught courses) or Creative Writing. The average total award is about 6,500 and the maximum in any one year is 10,000.

Scholarships are designed to help with the cost of a specific project which may last up to 3 years. Applicants must be over 24 years of age on 1st September 2003; citizens of the UK, other Commonwealth countries, Ireland or Israel; and resident in the British Isles during the application period.
