WCVA Regional Policy Events

The Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) have arranged a series of regional policy events in partnership with the County Voluntary Councils. The events will focus on National Lottery Funding in Wales in the morning (9.30am - 12.45pm) and on the Review of the Welsh Assembly Government Voluntary Sector Scheme in the afternoon (13.45pm to 16.00pm).

The morning session will be held in conjunction with the New Opportunities Fund, the Community Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government. The session will discuss the issues raised in the Department of Culture Media and Sport White Paper 'The National Lottery Funding Decision Document' relating to the distribution of lottery funds and the merger between the New Opportunities Fund and the Community Fund. The consultation on the white paper closes at the end of October and this is one way to contribute to the debate.

Copies of the white paper can be found on www.culture.gov.uk or www.wales.gov.uk
The events will take place on:

- Wednesday 8 October, Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells
- Thursday 9 October, Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis
- Tuesday 14 October, The Halliwell Centre, Carmarthen
- Wednesday 15 October, Valleys Innovation Centre, Abercynon

A £5 charge is payable for lunch.
