Playwrights interested in writing for Community Audiences

Playwrights interested in writing for Community Audiences Cardiff based Hijinx Theatre tours to Community Audiences in Wales and England; going into small Community Venues, Arts Centres and Theatres.

They also tour an annual production for Adults with Learning Difficulties, which visits Centres, Colleges and Theatres.

Known for their small-scale high quality productions; the Company has a long standing tradition of taking strongly narrative based new writing to audiences who might not otherwise have access to Theatre.

The Company’s recently appointed Associate Director, Louise Osborn and Artistic Director, Gaynor Lougher, would like to expand the Company’s relationship with professional Playwrights interested in making work for Hijinx, with a view to forthcoming commissions.

Gaynor and Louise would like to invite interested writers to an introductory evening of the Company’s work remit and philosophy: they will be joined by Glenys Evans who has been commissioned by the company to write several plays for people with learning disabilities

This will be held at: CHAPTER (Media Point)
On Thursday 29th March, from 7pm – 9pm

Writers who are subsequently interested in being considered for Commission will then be invited to submit ideas, and examples of their work.

For more information, please visit the Company’s Website: www.hijinx.org.uk
