![]() ScriptSlam which began in 2005, has been a huge success at The Sherman, resulting in dozens of aspiring writers seeing their plays on stage in front of an audience. 2005 winner Kit Lambert went on to have his play, The Custom House produced in full last year at The Sherman Theatre and be shortlisted for the Kings Cross New Writing Award, whilst runner-up Binda Singh saw his piece Ugly, Lovely Night made into a screenplay to be screened on television in America. ScriptSlam Co-Ordinator and The Sherman’s Education, Youth and Participation Manager Dinos Aristidou comments: “ScriptSlam is a fantastic opportunity for writers. Seeing your work performed by actors in front of an audience is invaluable to a writer developing their talent. ScriptSlam has also been a huge hit with audiences – it’s just a fun, informal night out with the chance to see some great new writing.” ScriptSlam is on this Thursday 15 February at 8pm.
