Mappa Mundi Return to The Sherman with Rollicking New Adaptation
|
From X-Factor to Fame Academy, you don’t have to look far to find somebody who wants a different life for themselves and an easy route to fame and fortune. Moll Flanders – the original wannabe – comes to the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff Thursday 22 – Friday 23 March.
Come and watch Moll as she struggles from servant, to wealthy widow, plantation owner to courtesan and thief, and finally to religious convert. Her rags to riches tale reveals the cunning of a woman determined to make her way in eighteenth century society… by any means necessary!
The show is sure to build on the excellent reputation of Wales’ Mappa Mundi Theatre Company for producing exciting adaptations of classic literature with a cheeky twist. Bawdy, irreverent and peppered with dark comedy, Moll Flanders bears all the Mappa Mundi trademarks that keep audiences coming back for more.
Moll Flanders is at The Sherman Theatre from 22 – 23 March at 7.30pm. Tickets are £13.50 / £11 reductions and are available form the Box Office on 029 2064 6900
