The Arts Council of Wales (ACW) announced today (Wednesday, March 22) its annual revenue grants to arts organisations in Wales. Annual revenue grants totalling nearly £10 million will go towards supporting approximately 100 annually funded arts organisations which produce and present work including national companies, galleries, festivals, venues, agencies, umbrella bodies and producing and other organisations. "Despite a difficult funding climate for the arts, ACW has still managed to pass on an above-inflation rate of 2.5% to revenue clients, "says Joanna Weston, ACW's Chief Executive. "ACW recognises that the standard of artistic activity in Wales is higher than ever and it is essential ways are found to finance and promote it. Wales' artists and arts organisations are to be applauded for producing such an outstanding diversity and quality of work for the benefit of people of Wales." |
