WELSH INDEPENDENT DANCE: OPEN PLATFORM PERFORMANCE

WELSH INDEPENDENT DANCE: OPEN PLATFORM PERFORMANCE This Saturday (2 June), Welsh Independent Dance, the national umbrella organisation for professional dance artists, is hosting a performance platform in the heart of mid-Wales at Powys Dance Centre, Llandrindod Wells. The platform will feature short works from a number of choreographers, demonstrating the variety and high quality work that independent dance artists in Wales have to offer.

A large number of applications were received from artists wishing to perform their work at Powys Dance Centre and the second of WID’s summer platforms at Aberystwyth Arts Centre on 26 June. WID has made every effort to accommodate as many artists as possible ensuring each programme offers variety and high quality work.

It is very encouraging that Welsh/Wales based artists are creating a great deal of new work and that there is such a wealth of talent on offer.

The performance at Powys Dance Centre on Saturday 2 June will start at 5pm. Tickets cost £3 and are available on the door.
