Images of Dance - Swansea Grand Theatre
|
Join us for an irresistibly entertaining evening of ballet, with a European theme from the 21 dancers of the ever-popular and dynamic Images of Dance, directed by Margaret Barbieri (former Royal Ballet principal), for just one magical performance on Saturday 16th June. It offers a delicious variety of ballet... and a trip through Europe, (with no Passport required!)
Our first stop is England with the quintessentially English of Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, (newly choreographed by the UK's multi award winning Matthew Hart).
After a short stop-over, we are off again to the heat of Spain through Don Quixote's vigorous Russian view of Spanish dancing (staged by ex-Bolshoi star Irek Mukhamedov),
Our final destination is France, in an irreverently wicked Anglo-Saxon take on Paris of the '30s from Matthew Bourne's especially revived The Infernal Galop.
With immaculate technique and breathtaking musicality these stunning ballet dancers will captivate any young budding ballerina (and her parents!)
Tickets are available from the Box Office, 01792 475715, with a special offer* price of just £8.50 for selected seats and Groups of 10+ just £7.50! |
