![]() Though most famous for his comedy impressions, sketch shows and hosting Family Fortunes, Les has more recently spread out into acting roles. He has appeared in the TV drama series Holby City, Brookside, Casualty, New Street Law and The Bill amongst others. He also made a show stopping appearance in the first series of Ricky Gervais’ Extras playing an exaggerated version of himself. In The Servant of Two Masters, Carlo Goldini’s classic 18th century Italian comedy, Les will be taking the title role of Truffaldino. This servant for hire believes he can juggle two masters, reaping the reward of two wages and two meals a day. However he soon finds that the demands put upon on are greater than he expected. Keeping both masters happy and apart from each other takes a remarkable amount of deception and subterfuge, not to mention disguises! Susan Lewis, Manager of the New Theatre, said “We are delighted that Les will be with us at the New Theatre this autumn. Wales Theatre Company shows are always excellent and I know audiences will just love him in this comic role. It will be a welcome return for Les to the New as he was a great success in our 1997 pantomime, Aladdin.” Wales Theatre Company's production of The Servant of Two Masters is at the New Theatre from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 October. Tickets are on sale now with prices ranging from £7.00 to £23.00.
