Re-Live at Chapter and Taliesin
|
Last year, theatre makers Alison O'Connor and Karin Diamond worked with seven older people, with the aim of creating a piece a theatre beased on their memories.
The experience was humbling and profound,as these seven extraodinary people shared stories that were joyous, painful and full of experience. From the hilarious account of a father rushing from an outside toilet with a ginger tom cat attached to his behind, only to be removed by the lure of a kidney supper; to the moving story of a still-born baby rushed away from its new mother never to be seen again.
Young airmen on Barry Island, Teddy-girls, dancing, Elvis impersonations and a wicked tale of a monkey all enter the fray in this unique performance. Following its sell-out premiere at Chapter last year, Re-Live is now touring across Wales. incorporating film, music, brutal honesty and wit, Re-Live is a unique event that is a joy to watch.
