Swansea Grand Theatre’s Summer Repertory Season continues with the superbly crafted comedy of liaisons, The Secretary Bird, by William Douglas Home on Tuesday 7th - Saturday 11th August and… it has a new leading man! Robert Duncan.After only twelve years of seemingly happy marriage to her somewhat older husband, Liz suddenly announces she has fallen for John and wants a divorce. Apparently acquiescing, Hugh says he will provide the ground. Everything seems set for a calm passage until it turns out that the plan includes Hugh's pretty secretary as correspondent and that the action is to take place in their own home! A long running West End Hit. Robert Duncan is well known for his appearances on TV that have helped make him famous. His first TV appearance was on the show For Maddie with Love which then led him to roles such as A Different Drummer and The Upper Hand. But Robert is best remembered for his role of ‘Gus Hedges’ in Channel 4’s multi award comedy Drop the Dead Donkey. Robert’s recent stage performances include Ronald in Absurd Person Singular, Windsor and Frank in The Memory of Water and he also played Norman in Round and Round the Garden. Robert is joined on stage by Judy Buxton (On The Up) and Edward Baker-Duly (Grange Hill).
