Animal Farm Opens Tonight at Abergavenny Castle
|
An open air production of George Orwell’s Animal Farm opens tomorrow, Thursday 26 July, for three performances by Gwent Young People’s Theatre at Abergavenny Castle.
Adapted by Peter Hall, this spectacular show combines Orwell’s unique blend of comic satire and poignancy in a bleak and condemning tale of revolution down on the farm.
The adaptation - with lyrics by Adrian Mitchell and music by Richard Peaslee - brings a modern day classic to life for new generations and is a show for all ages with something of substance at every level.
You can see it at Abergavenny Castle tonight and tomorrow (26 and 27 July) at 7pm and Saturday 28 July at 2.30pm (signed performance).
Tickets (£7 and £5 concessions) from the Borough Theatre Box Office 01873 850805.
