![]() After sell-out shows last year, Dancing in the Streets is a fantastic staged celebration of the golden years of Motown. A spectacular celebration of classic music from the heart of the Motor City – Detroit! Wales Millennium Centre’s Programming and Communications Director, Fiona Allan, says “After witnessing the audience reaction during last year’s sell out shows I was delighted to hear that the company wanted to return to WMC for a second time. Dancing in the Streets is a show that gets everyone up on their feet singing and dancing to tunes we all know and love and also gives you that feel good factor when leaving the theatre.” Motown was a prominent force in breaking down barriers around the world and equally as important, was responsible for producing some of the world’s most influential and enduring songs of the 20th century. Dancing in the Streets will take you through the Motown repertoire, with classic hits including I Heard It Through The Grape Vine, Baby Love, My Girl, Signed Sealed Delivered I’m Yours, Reach Out I’ll Be There and Stop In the Name of Love. With fabulous costumes, the talented performers will recreate the glamour of their idols with the sounds and energy performed to perfection. The singers will perform the unforgettable hits which were made famous by artists such as The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, Lionel Ritchie and The Supremes. Dancing in Streets will be performed at Wales Millennium Centre from 27 August to 1 September 2007. Tickets range from £5 to £28.
