... people, apparently serious people, making a spectacle of themselves...
Last year Wales' most successful theatre export toured Canada, Greece, Latvia, Slovakia and Russia. This year they have just returned from Albania and Kosovo and already have invitations from Spain, Korea and Sri Lanka....come and see why MOMENTS OF MADNESS will be one of the most toured and talked about shows of this year.
A play about the Assembly or one of the Assembly's committee's... a play about the Arts Council or one of the Arts Council's Committee's...a play about the First Secretary, the last Secretary and no Secretary at all.. a play about politics, a play about scandal..a play about those little big-moments in life that change everything else...?
MOMENTS OF MADNESS brings news from a small country: five characters, a lost executive, a repressed consultant, a small-time actor, a lonely academic and a newspaper hack meet to discuss art, culture and the state. All proceeds according to plan until a stranger arrives and the characters find themselves unable to focus on the agenda that lays before them...
MOMENTS OF MADNESS takes Ron Davies' famous stroll on Clapham Common as its cue for an investigation into the troubled psyche of a small nation. Part parody, part tragedy and very funny the bewildered characters combine a highly energetic physical style with witty and provocative dialogue that takes place on the bow of a battleship-like set.
"Dynamic and controversial" "... continuously subverting theatre forms...effortlessly hilarious"
