Hip Hop and Street Dance Workshops In Carmarthenshire!

Carmarthenshire Theatres have gone hip-hoppin’ mad in the run up to the Hip Hop Pop Crew’s dance/theatre spectacular The Battle! They’re putting on a series of one-off hip hop and street dance workshops, running in Carmarthen’s Lyric, Friday 17 August, Ammanford Miners’ Theatre, Friday 24 August and culminating at Llanelli’s Theatr Elli with a special workshop by a pre-performance workshop by the Hip Hop Pop Crew, Thursday 30 August.
Part of the Carmarthenshire Theatres’ Move It! scheme, which gets into full swing in September with an open week of free workshops in Ammanford, the class covers all styles of hip hop including body popping, locking, waving and freestyle. Directed by the Groundswell Dance Company’s Amanda Tomlinson, and starting at 1pm, the workshop promises a fun afternoon where all ages and abilities are welcome to come along and learn some cool dance moves! Tickets are priced £2 or £1 when bought with Hip Hop Pop’s The Battle. With more workshops booked for September and October, there has never been a better time to get down to the theatre – so don’t just view, come and do!
