Carmarthenshire Theatres’ Children’s Theatre Mini Fest A Hit For Half Term

Carmarthenshire Theatres’ Children’s Theatre Mini Fest A Hit For Half Term Carmarthenshire Theatres are putting your little devils first this Halloween with the Children’s Theatre Mini Fest, featuring the best in quality children’s theatre productions.

Make it a Halloween to remember as The People’s Theatre Company bring their smash-hit musical The Witch’s Bogey at Llanelli’s Theatr Elli, 29 October, 2.30pm. This funky production, based on the Russian fairytale Baba Yaga And The Girl With The Kind Heart, features a witch who specialises in eating little girls for dinner who finds that all the evil in the world will not succeed against the antidote of pure magic - and someone’s bound to come to a grotty, dotty and quite possibly snotty end! Featuring Colleen Daley, voice of Fizz in BBC’s The Tweenies, as the wicked witch Masha, tickets are now on sale, priced £7.50, with £6 concessions.

Surrey’s Support Act Theatre spin a touch of gold at Carmarthen’s Lyric, 1 November, with their innovative adaptation of the Brothers’ Grimm classic Rumpelstiltskin. Blending live actors with puppetry to tell the tale of the Millers’ daughter trapped in a tower and forced to spin straw into gold, this heart-warming tale hits the stage at 1.30pm. Tickets are £6 with £5 concessions. Rounding off the week, Kipper Tie Theatre present Whiff, the charming tale certain to cause a stink - in the best possible way - at Ammanford Miners’ Theatre, 2 November. Written by Ian Whybrow, creator of the best-selling Harry And The Bucketful Of Dinosaurs, follow Whiff’s adventures as he tries to make some friends. The fun kicks off at 1.30pm with tickets, priced £6 with £5 concessions. Of course, there’s also our full daily cinema programme, details of current releases plus all tickets are available from the box office: 0845 226 3508/09/10
