LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST

LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST If you have not yet attended one of our Shakespeare readings, December would be a great month to start! On Monday December 3rd at Seren at 6.30pm Cardiff Shakespeare Readers will be meeting to drink wine, discuss Shakespeare, and read aloud Love’s Labour’s Lost. What’s more, we have a distinguished guest visiting to speak to us and read with us, in the form of Michelle Terry, an actress from the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare’s Globe. Michelle has recently toured Korea with a Globe production of Love’s Labour’s Lost.

We are still looking to meet new Shakespeare enthusiasts: Actors, Directors, Students, Shakespeare fans, Amateurs, Professionals, First-timers, Young and Old!

Cardiff Shakespeare Readers meet once a month in an evening to read aloud one of Shakespeare’s plays. Working through the plays in rough chronological order, the aim is to read the complete works of Shakespeare. Anyone is welcome to attend and read aloud, no matter what theatrical or literary experience (if any) they have. If you don’t fancy reading, you can simply come along and listen. It's a great opportunity to further your knowledge of Shakespeare, meet other people in the industry, or just to socialise.

There is no charge for attending, but everyone is expected to bring along a copy of the relevant script. A “Complete Works” is fine! If you wish to attend, simply email Adam Timms at the address below.

The reading will take place at "Seren", which is a small turkish restaurant with a pleasant and appropriately sized function room. The restaurant is a short walk from Chapter Arts Centre, down Cowbridge Road East heading towards town, opposite Tesco.
