![]() The Sherman Theatre will continue its tradition of delightful theatre for the under 6s with The Devoted Friend – the tale of Little Hans and his best friend. The show is a unique experience for its young audience who are invited into the colourful environment of Little Hans’s garden. Director Phil Clark, who also adapted the story for stage says: “The Devoted Friend is a delightful story for young children. As in previous years, we’re creating a magical set and environment which the audience enter into to participate in the show and enjoy.” From the same artistic team that brought audiences The Selfish Giant and The Happy Prince, The Devoted Friend is the third in the Oscar Wilde Trilogy. Ordinary objects and materials will be transformed through music and puppetry, play and imagination to create a beautiful environment for a classic story. The Devoted Friend is a classic story by Oscar Wilde about what makes a good friend. Little Hans’s best friend is Hugh the Miller but while Hans is happy to share all the lovely flowers and fruit from his garden, Hugh isn’t quite so generous with his own things. The show tours Wales before returning to the Sherman Theatre on Thursday 4 – Saturday 29 December. Tickets start from £5 and can be booked from the Sherman Theatre Box Office or online at www.shermantheatre.co.uk |
