CREATIVE INDUSTRY TRAINEES NEEDED FOR
CONTEMPORARY MULTI-LINGUAL WELSH THEATRE 21st January – 25th January 2008

Are you aged 18 years or over?....would you like to start the New Year learning new skills?.....always wanted to gain expert tuition on set design, stage management and sound and lighting leading to a theatrical performance?.......

Bridgend County Borough Council’s Arts & Culture Service are looking for new recruits for their innovative CREATIVE INDUSTRIES SCHEME for Acting Out Cardiff’s production of “BE: LONG DIVISION” at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff on Friday 25th January 2008.

One of the UK’s most innovative dance theatre companies – Kompany Malakhi are teaming with young people from Bridgend Youth Dance, Sherman Cymru’s award winning company Acting Out Cardiff and the Yellow Project to create a unique piece of contemporary multi-lingual young Welsh theatre. With MC’s from the Higher Learning Hip-Hop collective, music from Associated Minds record label and an encounter with the ancient Welsh tradition of the Mari Lwyd, prepare for a poetic battle of words, wits and physical encounters!

Don’t miss this ideal opportunity to learn theatrical based industry training with the experts - open to all residents of Bridgend for those 18 years and over, the Creative Industries Scheme offers a wide range of industry based training including set design, stage management and sound and lighting.
Trainees will have the unique opportunity to work alongside professional theatrical technicians from 21st – 25th January, leading up to the two performances on Friday 25th January in the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff.
