This is the company’s fourth major UK tour, coming direct from London’s Sadler’s Wells’ Peacock Theatre for their one and only Welsh date. . The Yamato drums range from the size of a small plate to over a metre in diameter, including the Odaiko drum, hewn from one huge tree over four hundred years old. The sheer physical strength and movement of the drummers is as impressive as the music, in this visually spectacular and highly dramatic show. This incredibly skilled company of male and female drummers was founded in Nara, said to be the birthplace of Japanese culture.
