WHO’S MAKING A SONG AND DANCE ABOUT CREEPY CRAWLIES?

WHO’S MAKING A SONG AND DANCE ABOUT CREEPY CRAWLIES? Something happens between childhood and becoming an adult which turns our fascination and delight with insects into a feeling which rests somewhere between minor irritation and full-on chemical warfare! It’s reassuring then that the current influx of snails, bees, beetles and ants at Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre will be given a warm Pembrokeshire welcome … and shown to the dressing rooms.

When it comes to the crunch there’s no use making a song and dance about it – especially if these creepy crawlies are the ones providing the entertainment! The Lazy Ant is the title of this marvellous piece of musical theatre which is the latest in the series of drama for youngsters, and has been especially created for children aged 5 and over – although it’s great for grown-ups who prefer the cuddly version of Boris the Beetle.

Funny, scary, involving, imaginative and engaging, this delightfully colourful production is full of beautiful music, songs and dances – no small wonder that it walked away with two top Awards at last year’s International Children’s Theatre Festival which took place in Shanghai.

The Lazy Ant performed by Spectacle Theatre can be seen at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven on Wednesday 28 May at 2.00pm. To book seats, or
