French Children’s Classic Comes To Sherman

French Children’s Classic Comes To Sherman A stage adaptation of a French children’s classic which sold out at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival comes to Sherman on Saturday 17 May.

The Man Who Planted Trees is a captivating adaptation of Jean Giono’s environmental cult classic. A French shepherd sets out with his dog to plant a forest and transform a barren wasteland. As war rages across Europe, their young forest comes under threat …

This charming tale brings together a unique blend of comedy, puppetry and storytelling, with sensory effects creating scents, wind and rain. The Man Who Planted Trees is an inspiring and unforgettable story that shows us the difference one man (and his dog!) can make to the world.

Brought to you by the Puppet State Theatre Company, The Man Who Planted Trees sold out at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and received outstanding press and audience reviews as well as the Eco Trust’s Eco Prize for Creativity for 2007 and is now fully booked to tour around the country.

The Man Who Planted Trees will be at Sherman, Cardiff on Saturday 17 May for two shows at 11am and 2pm. Tickets are £7 and can be booked from Sherman’s Box Office on 029 2064 6900 or online at www.shermancymru.co.uk
