OUT DOOR SHAKESPEARE IN BRYNGARW
|
Don’t miss out door Shakespeare and exhibitions by local artists as part of our Bryngarw Fest 2008 celebrations in Bryngarw Country Park and House in Brynmenyn, Bridgend!
Rain or Shine Theatre Company make a very welcome return to Bryngarw on Friday 4th July at 7pm to perform William Shakespeare’s haunting and moving tragic comic romance “THE WINTER’S TALE”. More traditional in an English summer than rain clouds, Rain or Shine’s production of the comedy classic “The Winter’s Tale” has been described as “Shakespeare's Sistine
Chapel” and is one of his most moving and exuberant achievements. Set out doors upon the lawn in front of Bryngarw House, Rain or Shine Theatre Company re-create the Bard’s sublime masterpiece, which sweeps breathtakingly from jealousy, rage and loss to redemption, reconciliation, and finally …… wonder. Passion, love and reunion rule this beguiling dramatic comedy.
Along the way, it visits kings and queens, playful children, a singing street peddler, dancing shepherds, a most extraordinary statue, and a famously hungry bear.!
