Thursday, 24 July, sees the conclusion of Mess Up The Mess’ original production project, in which young people become the ‘directors’ of a professional production, with the final piece performed at Ammanford Miners’ Theatre.This performance in the culmination of a unique process which has seen young people from across Carmarthenshire and Powys taking part in inspiring drama workshops which have encouraged experimentation, ideas and a focus on issues that the young people themselves have expressed a concern with – ranging from environmental to social matters, which has resulted in the subject matter for the bi-lingual play, shaped into an innovative and thought-provoking performance by artistic director Sera Moore Williams (Arad Goch) and professional actors. This innovative project is run in association with Carmarthenshire Theatres and Theatr Brycheiniog and supported by the Arts Council of Wales and Brecon Beacons Sustainable Development Fund.
