Another Culture Minister bites the dust

Gaffe prone Rhodri Glyn Thomas resigns as Culture and Heritage Minister after bringing a lit cigar into a Cardiff Bay pub.
Following the embarrassment he caused by announcing the wrong winner at the recent Welsh Book of the Year awards the Minister had little option but to resign his post when he was alleged to have walked in to a bar still holding a cigar.
In his resignation letter he wrote: "In the light of the publicity that has been following me in the last weeks I feel that my position in the government is no longer sustainable."
No announcement has yet been made as to his likely successor. |
