The Other Woman

The Other Woman Set on a hill farm in South Wales during the First World War, The Other Woman explores the struggles of Megan Watkins, a young mother who is left alone in an isolated farmhouse when her husband goes off to war.

A young conscientious objector arrives at the farmhouse, seeking refuge and asking for help.

The play explores the events that develop when Meg agrees to disguise him as Mary Anne, her cousin from Cardiff, and the problems that unfold when her husband returns from the Front.

The Other Woman was originally researched and devised by Spectacle Theatre and written by Paul Swift. It is staged at the Melville Theatre in the Drama Centre, Penypound, Abergavenny as part of the autumn tour by the popular Cardiff-based Hijinx Theatre.

The performance is at 7.30 on Friday 26 September.

Tickets are £8 and £6 and available at the Borough Theatre box office 01873 850805.
