Associate Artist of Sadler’s Wells, award-winning dance theatre choreographer Jasmin Vardimon returns to The Riverfront to celebrate her company’s 10th Anniversary with a retrospective new piece, Yesterday on Wednesday 15 October, at 7.30pm. This is the third time this staggering Dance Company have performed at The Riverfront and this performance features some of the most breath-taking duets, striking solos and iconic moments selected from the company’s repertoire. Interwoven with new choreographic material and live multi-media, this bold new work resounds with passion, precision and trademark physicality. Contrasting flashes of daring athleticism with moments of touching beauty, eight dancers interweave scenes of intimate and vulnerable tenderness with provocative and playful choreography, remaining as stirring and socially relevant as ever. Yesterday will be preceded by 10 minutes of new dance - Dance Shorts! - a taste of fresh and exciting dance, free in the foyer 30 minutes before the main performance. Dance Shorts! will be performed by a group of emergent dance artists. Arrive at 7pm (30 minutes before the main show) to catch a new routine.
