![]() On the 20th floor of an abandoned East End tower block, Blaze (a Caribbean MC) and Tariq (a Bengali DJ) rip up the airwaves on a leading pirate station. Their last CD was a massive hit and they’re set to hit the big time. Then Zahida comes into their lives and cracks begin to appear in their friendship. When a local gangster asks Blaze for a serious favour, suddenly there's a choice to be made that could split their world wide open. Locked In, by multi-award winning writer Fin Kennedy, was developed with young people and underscored by a contemporary soundtrack by DJ Billy Biznizz. Locked In is directed by Angela Michaels, choreographed by Sean Graham and Chris Change, with Yasuko Hasegawa’s designs. Although it was written specifically to be performed in schools, as a resource for drama courses, it has been revived for a national tour due to its success. Don’t miss Locked In on Saturday 15 November at 7.30pm at The Riverfront. Tickets are priced at £8 with reductions available.
