Winter is here and pantomime season is on its way
|
Owen Money Theatre Company’s latest pantomime tour Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the moral story of a beautiful princess, Snow White, who meets and falls in love with a handsome Prince.
As a pantomime it has a very strong box office appeal, as the subject is already known to the millions who come to see it from the Disney film - they eagerly await the appearance of the Seven Dwarfs - often wondering why they have different names to the ones they expect them to have! In this production our dwarfs are named: Pops, Jolly, Surly, Snoozy, Wheezy, Blusher and Dozy.
The cast are talented, the set colourful, the songs catchy, and the comedy is excellent.
This is Mike Doyle’s 19th year in panto and his 3rd in Snow White. Mike, with his easy wit and charm, has a wealth of pantomime experience behind him and Muddles is a role you could say was written especially for him. “My character is the village idiot who always gets Snow White’s name mixed up! Like the love sick Buttons, in Cinderella last year, poor Muddles has no chance with Snow White but the audience will love to encourage him to give it a go anyway!”
“Everyone knows the story of Snow White and we will just be reminding them with lots of fun along the way!”
Mike together with the rest of the cast love pantomime, which Mike says is really important. “You’ve got to love it or the children won’t believe it. It’s three months of hard work and you have to be committed and be strict about giving 110% for every performance.”
So, whatever age you are, come and catch the fun and enjoyment of this Owen Money Theatre Company production at the following venues this winter:
Theatre Brycheiniog, Brecon; Coliseum, Aberdare; Miners Institute, Blackwood; the Lyric, Carmarthen; the Princess Royal, Port Talbot; the Parc and Dare, Treorchy and the Congress Theatre, Cwmbran.
CAST: Mike Doyle (Muddles); Nikki Lang (Queen Lucretia); Lloyd Davies (Nurse Tydfil); Amy Coombes (Snow White); Lewis Cook (Prince Nicolas); Deiniol Wyn Rees (Oddjob) and Calum Small (Pops).
