THE controversial Arts Council of Wales programme for supplying theatre to children and young people was suddenly suspended yesterday. Arts council chairperson Sybil Crouch told the National Assembly yesterday that the status quo will re-main for the next 12 months. The arts council had planned from April to reduce the number of theatrefor-young-people companies from eight to five in order to save administrative costs.
