On the 30th and 31st January Diversions Dance Company will perform at Aberystwyth Arts Centre as part of their 2009 Spring Tour. The performance will begin at 7.30pm. Diversions, Wales’ National Dance Company, will perform three cutting-edge new works from leading international choreographers. World-renowned dancer and choreographer Stijn Celis brings a groundbreaking dance created with the Diversions team, which combines the voice of the legendary James Brown and music from the celebrated New York composer Steve Reich- think jazz, think electro, think cutting edge. Yes, Stijn is back! The Company's artistic associate and founding director Roy Campbell-Moore also presents a beautiful new creation, working with the gorgeous music of the late Welsh composer Alun Hoddinott, while the Diversions team have also for the first time collaborated with celebrated star performer and choreographer, the totally captivating co-founder of DV8, Nigel Charnock.
