The first Showroom Platform will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2009 at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. We are inviting proposals for live art, performance work, dance and experimental theatre. We welcome proposals for work in progress as well as finished pieces. We expect the Platform to consist of two works by invited artists/companies. The ticket money will be shared equally between the two participating artists/companies. Furthermore we can offer technical assistance plus accommodation. The following morning, we will invite the artists and audience members to join us for breakfast to discuss the work and receive feedback. If you want to be considered for the March Platform, please send a proposal no later than February 20th. Your proposal should include a description of the work you would like to show, a CV, and an outline of your technical requirements. Links to supporting material are welcomed. We curate and create live art and performance events. In addition to the Platform, Showroom host a monthly social night that includes a mixture of live art, film, animation, sound works, installations and interventions. The core members of Showroom are Richard Allen, Kasia Coleman, Daniel Ladnar, Gareth Llŷr, Esther Pilkington and Louise Ritchie.
