Rob Brydon, actor, comedian, Fellow and former student of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, is leading the College’s Take Your Seat fund-raising campaign.Naming a Seat in the new state-of-the-art Theatre or Concert Hall will help to nurture some of the most talented young performers in the world within Cardiff: · Dedicate a seat to yourself, your family, your choir, brass band, drama society or gardening club · Have your name or dedication engraved on a plaque on a seat of your choice in the new Concert Hall or Theatre ‘I had a wonderful time studying at the Royal Welsh College. It’s thanks to them that I’m now thought of, quite rightly, as Wales’ greatest actor since Anthony Hopkins - even better than Michael Sheen and Ioan Gruffydd and Mathew Rhys, and the Welsh bloke that used to present Blue Peter.’ Rob Brydon Take Your Seat will be launched on Friday 13 February at the first night of Thoroughly Modern Millie at Sherman Cymru · Take Your Seat is part of the College’s major fund-raising campaign launched by Bryn Terfel in November 2008.
