Apocalypse Now at the Memorial Hall and Theatre, Barry

Apocalypse Now at the Memorial Hall and Theatre, Barry It’s Apocalypse Now as the Reduced Shakespeare Company® perform their hit West End production of The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) at the Memorial Hall and Theatre.

The original “Bad Boys of Abridgement” bring their reductive sensibilities to this irreverent celebration of “the greatest story ever accepted as fact”, The Bible. Can bolts of lightning be far behind?

Written by Adam Long, Reed Martin, and Austin Tichenor, The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) is an affectionate roller coaster ride from fig leaves to Final Judgment, as the boys tackle the great theological questions:

Did Adam and Eve have navels?
Did Moses really look like Charlton Heston?
And why isn’t the word “phonetic” spelled the way it sounds?

Praised by the Sunday Times as “a slick, fast, very funny show... [featuring] skilled performers with immaculate sassy American timing” this promises to be an evening of fun for all. Whether you are Catholic or Atheist, Muslim or Jew, Protestant or Purple People Eater, you will be tickled by the RSC's romp through old time religion. Remember... Someone is watching.

So gather your family and friends, two by two, and yea verily get thyself to thy local theatre to catch the world renowned Reduced Shakespeare Company® explain it all to you! The Good Book just got better!

Reduced Shakespeare Company® will be performing at the Memorial Hall and Theatre on Thursday 12 March at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the Box Office, on 01446 738622, priced at £10.75 and £8.75.

Reviews from Great Britain:
“If you've seen the RSC before, you'll need no encouragement to see this brilliant show. If you haven't, find out what you've been missing." Edinburgh Evening News
Reviews from America:
"Be forewarned: this play is not for you if you don't enjoy laughing continuously for two hours until you soak through all the Kleenex in your pocket with mirthful tears. This is one of the funniest evenings I've spent in a theatre." The Boston Phoenix
… and from the Holy Land:
“The laughs come like a flood. Before you finish laughing at the first joke, you find yourself laughing at the next one." Ma'ariv News, Jerusalem
