![]() With tongue planted firmly in cheek, the show is an affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies. Its upbeat 60s inspired songs including Somewhere That’s Green, Skid Row, Feed Me (Git It) feature alongside amazing creature animation and hilarious comic dialogue. Down and out floral assistant Seymour finds an exotic plant that promises him fortune and fame in return for a few drops of blood to help it grow. But as the plants’ hunger rapidly increases, all that Seymour holds dear comes under threat. The talented cast is full of familiar faces including Clare Buckfield (Dancing on Ice, 2.4 Children), Alex Ferns (EastEnders), Damian Humbley (Fiddler on the Roof) and Sylvester McCoy who is perhaps best known for his stint as the seventh incarnation of Doctor Who. West End star Clive Row provides the voice of ‘Audrey II’. Clive has appeared in the hit show Tracy Beaker and most recently played the character of Morvin in the Doctor Who episode Voyage of the Damned. Little Shop of Horrors is one of the longest running off-Broadway musicals of all time and has been performed all over the world. The show’s impressive score that also featured in the hit 1986 film is thanks to the successful songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. Together they have produced hit soundtracks for many of Disney’s animated films including Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and most recently Enchanted.
