Argonauts sail in with fun dance-theatre for children and parents |
![]() Bombastic, a Wales-based company specialising in multi-media productions for young people, has re-interpreted the myth for the present day, using dance, story telling, and live video. The show is devised by one of Wales’s most successful choreographers, Sean Tuan John, who has created a performance that exercises body and mind. For example, the audience is invited to join the story’s characters on their journey to a magical garden where ‘golden hoodies’ with great powers await them. Faced with many challenges along the way (including unexpected monsters) these modern day Argonauts overcome many perils to reach their prize. The workshop and performance is being held at the centre’s Weston Studio on Sunday 8 March 2009. A one-hour workshop begins at 1pm when Sean Tuan John will take participants through dance and performance skills, free with a ticket to the main performance which begins at 3pm. Click here for more information. Tickets £8 (Reductions £5). Contact the Box Office on 08700 40 2000. Bombastic is supported by the Arts Council of Wales.
