The weather is hotting up and so is the summer season at the New Theatre as three top quality shows went on sale from Monday 30 March. Quadrophenia, Deceptions and Horrid Henry Live and Horrid are an exciting mixture of music, drama and family fun that guarantees a great night out for everyone.We kick off with 70s rock musical Quadrophenia from Tuesday 14 – Saturday 18 July. Written by Pete Townshend and inspired by The Who’s hit album, this is a story of Jimmy a young mod who embarks on a life changing trip to Brighton, looking for a girl to love and a place to belong. This coming of age show is an exhilarating theatrical experience for rebels of all ages. Deceptions is the gripping thriller starring Michelle Collins and Rupert Hill, from Tuesday 21 – Saturday 25 July. A female psychiatrist and a young male patient play mind games as both of them attempt to take charge of their sessions together. As secrets are revealed a psychological game of cat and mouse begins, taking them both on a journey that threatens to spiral beyond their control. This exciting drama will keep audiences on the edge of their seat. Horrid Henry Live and Horrid is the stage adaptation of the much loved books and CITV series. When he is sent to his bedroom, Henry imagines what it would be like to be centre stage in his own play. This big, bold and energetic production will entertain both children and adults from Thursday 30 July – Sunday 2 August. With tickets at just £7 for under 16s you can bring all the family.
