The highly acclaimed Indian dance company, India Dance Wales are set to bring their dazzling production ‘Dance Variations’ to Theatr Elli on 3rd April 2009, 7.30pm.India Dance Wales has gained great respect for creating innovative productions, and ‘Dance Variations’ is no exception. This beautiful production combines three difference dance styles originating in India, and perfectly embodies the beauty, charm and gracefulness of each individual style. From the highly traditional and stylized dance form of Bharatanatyam to the mesmerising technical style of Kuchipudi and the street folk dance style of Koranvanji, this performance will leave you both amazed and astonished. The future looks exciting for Indian Dance in Wales, as 2009 will see India Dance Wales touring a brand new production, ‘Life’, which will fuse together Bharata Natyam dance, live Carnatic music performed by musicians from India and Hindi lyrics together with English narration.
