This year, for the first time, we’re offering artists/companies the opportunity to test those small ideas or ‘Inc’ling’s’, with an audience to help you to develop a piece. Later in the year we accept submissions for the Incubator Project which is for the more developed idea, where you’ve already begun to try things out and need somewhere to rehearse, perform the work and arts management advice. Inc’ling aims to be a Platform for you to Experiment and receive Feedback You should: • be an Artist or Company who is Welsh or resident in Wales • be interested in trying out something new • have an initial idea for a devised piece that has not yet been tried out (an inkling!) • be open to using different spaces • want to begin to develop the idea at Wales Millennium Centre over 4 days • be prepared to show a 5-20min exploration at the end of Inc’ling • be willing to receive constructive feedback • be available Sat 1 August – Wednesday 5 August We will: • offer you rehearsal space over the 4 day period • open up for an audience to see your work before a Donald Gordon Theatre show • supply technical support • facilitate feedback – digitally, through feedback forms and five minute forums after your exploration and face to face at the end of the evening Your proposal should: • be no more than one typed page • tell us about your idea • include your contact details Closing date for submissions is 5pm 22 MAY 2009 Please send your proposal for Inc’ling to: Kim Walsh - Audience Development Project Officer Wales Millennium Centre, Bute Place, CF10 5AL Or to kim.walsh@wmc.org.uk Artists or companies will be chosen by the end of June 2009.
