National dance company ticket deal to help loyal North Wales fans |
![]() Tickets are available for £10 instead of £20 to help towards the cost of travelling for dance lovers who do not want to miss the NDCWales international autumn tour. Marketing and press officer Gemma Hughes said, “We have been visiting Theatr Gwynedd for many years and we don’t want our loyal fans to miss out on our great new season which is the first under our new name, National Dance Company Wales. “We hope they will continue to support us as we set pulses racing on and off the stage in North Wales at Venue Cymru. Because you may have to travel a little further we have teamed up with Venue Cymru to offer a special ticket price for you of £10 instead of £20 to cover petrol cost.” If you live in Ynys Mon or Gwynedd just call the venue box office and say ask for NDCWales travel offer you will be eligible to buy tickets for £10 each. NDCWales is making its first visit to Venue Cymru with a triple bill of sparkling works that have been created by three very different choreographers – including Nigel Charnock who went to school and college in Abergele and Colwyn Bay. The Company’s ten hand-picked dancers perform three beautiful, bold and beguiling dances that are physically and emotionally exhilarating. The totally captivating dancer and choreographer Nigel Charnock, co-founder of DV8, is working with the Company for the first time. Nigel’s work called Lunatic will interlink theatre and dance as he explores themes of night, madness, insomnia and all set against the fascinating 1950s with gorgeous music from that pivotal decade. Roy Campbell-Moore has created a beautiful dance working with the music of the late Welsh composer Alun Hoddinott. Rich in movement, colour and atmosphere, the work will appeal to audiences on many levels, including the unfolding story of the five dancers. Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis makes his Company debut with an inspiring new work that focuses on his hallmark technical virtuosity and fluidity set to an original score from Julien Tarride. National Dance Company Wales will be performing at Venue Cymru on 29 September at 8pm.
