From the Horse's Mouth

From the Horse's Mouth ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ is a sensitive and passionate story of three children involved in the historic events of Tonypandy 1910.

The story begins today on the side of a Valley’s hill, and the characters literally step into the past.

“A can of worms kind of day, where time doesn’t make sense, moments stretch and hours fly like swallows returning from where they came.

The kind of day when you question who you are and why you are here…

A going backwards kind of day where photographs speak and history refuses to sit in the past but bursts out all around you like thunder in the summer.”

Especially created for children over 7, ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ is a new Spectacle Theatre touring production directed by Steve Davis, with a cast of Carys Parry, Carlton Bunce and Aled Herbert.

‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ explores identity, friendship, family and the importance of history.

The play will tour schools throughout Wales between 8th February and 26th March 2010, and a public performance will be held at Coleg Morgannwg Rhondda on Thursday 11th March.
