National Dance Company Wales, formerly Diversions, and Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea are offering people living in CF postcodes a special ticket deal so they don’t miss out.Dance lovers living in CF postcodes can claim a special discount of £5 per pair of tickets to help towards the cost of so they do not miss NDCWales’ international spring tour. Marketing and press officer Clare Nedin said, “We tour all over Wales and internationally during the year from Llandudno to Milford Haven, Aberystwyth to Newport. But as this season the Company is not performing in Cardiff we don’t want our fans to miss out. “So we have teamed up with the nearest spring tour venue, the Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea with this travel offer. As audience members may have to travel a little further than usual we have teamed up with Taliesin Arts Centre to offer a special reduction of £5 per pair of tickets towards petrol or other travel costs.” “This is also a great opportunity to anyone living in the CF postcode area, whether that be Bridgend or Barry, Maesteg or Merthyr, Cardiff or Cowbridge to take that first step and fall in love with dance. “The Taliesin is an excellent venue for dance and in 2008 brought Itzik Galili’s own company to Wales. NDCWales is making its first visit to the Taliesin Arts Centre under its new name with a double-bill of new works. The double-bill comprises Veil of Stars by Andonis Foniadakis, his debut work with the Company, and a new commission from Netherlands-based choreographer Itzik Galili. Galili’s work has been championed by NDCWales. His last dance with the Company Peeled (2006) was toured extensively throughout Wales and internationally including Spain, Italy and Ireland. This new collaboration was created with the Company’s 10 international dancers at the arts flagship organisation’s home, Dance House at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff. National Dance Company Wales will be performing at Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea on February 11 and 12.
