![]() A social drama, To Kill a Mockingbird is set in Maycomb, Alabama against the backdrop of America during the Great Depression of the 1930s. This beautifully written story of the ill-fated Tom Robinson unfolds as Scout and Jem Finch take their first steps towards adulthood, coming face to face with the hypocrisy and prejudice that surrounds them. When their father Atticus, a liberal and principled lawyer, defends Tom Robinson, a young black man falsely accused of raping a white woman, the whole family become the target of abuse and gossip. The talented cast is led by Gwyn Vaughan Jones who plays Atticus, Amy Morgan who plays Scout, Joshua McCord as Jem and Oliver Wilson who plays Tom Robinson. Gwyn, an Associate of Clwyd Theatr Cymru has starred in many productions for the company including Brassed Off and Of Mice and Men. He has also appeared in Torchwood. Amy, who trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, recently starred in the hugely successful production of Deep Cut at Sherman Cymru. This is Joshua and Oliver’s debut for Clwyd Theatr Cymru. They are joined by Simon Armstrong (Bob Ewell), Rhian Blythe (Mayella Ewell), Richard Elfyn (Heck Tate), Eva Fontaine (Helen Robinson), Denise Orita (Calpurnia), Alex Parry (Mr. Gilmer) and Reginald Tsiboe (Rev.
