“THE UGLY TRUTH”, A NEW PLAY FROM THEATR IOLO TELLING IT LIKE IT IS… In a cruel world where everyone is judged by appearance, two unlikely friends tell it like it is… Taking great pleasure in taunting and teasing – “cos it’s a laugh” – until the tables are turned and the hurt they cause and the damage they do leads them to realise that maybe what’s on the inside counts too.

The Ugly Truth is a provocative new play for teenagers from award-winning Welsh playwright, Gary Owen, and acclaimed director, Sarah Argent. Working together with performers Shekira Johnson and Hannah McPake, they created a new play that is touring to high schools throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Very real and raw. Thoroughly enjoyed it - another Theatr Iolo triumph!
Amanda Sweet, Head of Drama, St Cyres

There is a special performance of The Ugly Truth at Chapter Arts Centre, Wednesday 24th February, 7.30pm. There are only a few tickets left available from Chapter Box Office on 029 2031 1050.
