Theatr Tandem will be touring a new play by Aled Jones Williams – ‘Chwilys’. ‘Chwilys’ (Inquisition) is a drama peculiar to our time with its exploration of the fearful paranoia created amongst us by the rulers of this turbulent world. No innocent is truly safe, not even the highly respected academic in our play. When an unwelcome and sinister stranger breaks into the bookish, cloistered haven of his flat, the ordinariness of his life is twisted and distorted into something monstrous and his very being threatened.
Part social comment, part surreal thriller, part poetry, Chwilys is an intense theatrical experience.
The play will tour from 20th March until 10th April. It will be performed in theatres and village halls in Denbigh, Bethesda, Bodedern, Llansannan, Bangor, Betws y Coed, Rhuthun, Pwllheli, Aberystwyth, Felinfach, Llandeilo, Porthmadog and Cricieth.
